We are delighted to finish out 2022 in GREAT STYLE….Join us in FESTIVE HOLIDAY ATTIRE for what is sure to be a glamorous and old world evening of BIG BAND Music and HOLIDAY Celebration. Woodstock is always beautifully decorated this time of year. Wear your Dancing Shoes!

Edward Zalaty, Conductor and Lead Trumpet of the GMH Band. Spanning almost three decades, Edward has been entertaining audiences with the power and elegance of his Trumpet. His incredible artistry has granted him the opportunities to play with incredible musicians and groups all throughout the world. GMH is a High Energy, Jazz Ensemble that showcases the finest Central Indiana musicians. A wonderful ‘one-of-a kind’ Big Band experience. 

Dr. Shawn Royer, Assistant Professor of Music and Chair of the Music Department at Marion University in Indianapolis will give a short 10-15 min speech on the History of Jazz in Indiana (and will play Sax). Shawn earned her PhD in Music Education with a minor in Jazz from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her dissertation, Hoagy Carmichael’s Hidden Manuscript: The Discovery of “Old Glory” for Children’s Choir and Chamber Orchestra, was a historical research project. Dr. Royer is also a Yamaha Performing Artist, a Vandoren Artist Clinician, Founder and Director of the SYO Summer Music Programs (a non-profit program for youth), and she directs the Swing Shift Indy Big Band and the 65th Street Klezmorim.

Charley Grahn, Our own CC Member will be the Emcee (& “On Keys”).  A lifelong musician and music aficionado. A member of several Indianapolis bands in Jazz, Classical and Rock. Little side job as an Attorney by day.
